Expect refined dishes featuring fresh local seafood, tropical produce, and creative flavor combinations, thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented.

About Helmi Smeulders - Caribbean Chef

Chef Helmi Smeulders is the pioneer of modern Caribbean cuisine and has called Curaçao home for over 25 years. In a region where much of the food depends on imported goods, she has made it her mission to showcase the rich abundance of flavors found in Curaçao’s own backyard. Through her innovative approach to cooking, she has introduced both locals and visitors to the island’s indigenous ingredients; from freshly caught seafood to exotic fruits and vibrant vegetables. Beyond the kitchen, Helmi is also a celebrated cookbook author, food photographer, and restaurant consultant.
